The Real Deal

Last week, Abigail had her first day of school at Ace Academy. After several visits to the school with the whole family in tow, this was her first time to be dropped off. Spencer took the morning off work and accompanied us for the big day. I was a little worried that she wouldn't want us to leave simply because she wouldn't want to miss out on any fun her family might be having without her. Much to my surprise, that was not the case. She barely even looked up to say goodbye once she got in her class room. All week she has given me this courtesy wave and without looking at me says, "Bye, see you after school." I guess it was a little harder on me than her. It was hard to see her days with me at home come to an end. It was time for her to go to school, it was just bittersweet for me. She has enjoyed everyday and comes home talking non-stop. So far, so good. We are very proud of her!
