Last week marked a couple of other firsts for the Christian sisters. Other than school for Abigail, she also went to her first dentist appointment. Thanks to Auntie M and Ava we went to a wonderful pediatric dentist. She was very gentle and great with kids. Her office was really bright and modern. Abigail liked her until she heard her tell me that the pacifier had to go. Yes, Abigail still uses a pacifier to sleep and often when she is in her car seat. Now she is very upset with her and has rehearsed the lecture she is going to deliver to her next time she goes. It includes ugly words like, "I don't like you: and "if you make me wear a retainer I will take it out and break it on the ground." We'll see how the March checkup goes.
On another note, Emery got her first tangle in her hair. This marks a very important point in Emery's hair growth progress. Both of the girls were still almost completely bald at their one year birthday. It was at this point in Abigail's life that she begin to grow a pretty spectacular mullet. Abigail didn't get her first haircut until after she turned 2. We are really hoping Emery makes it without growing a mullet and hopefully she will be due for a haircut in a few short months.
Here are pics of Abigail behaving like such a big girl at the dentist:
